On Wednesday, January 30, the NCEMS kindergarten classes celebrated their 100th day of school. The kindergartners did a 100th-day project, where they gathered a hundred items to put on poster board or a tub. Their projects are displayed in the front trophy case at NCEMS.

On the 100th day, both classes had a fun party. In Mrs. Hajek’s class, the kindergartners licked a lollipop 100 times, stacked 100 cups and legos, rolled dice 100 times, looked for 100 dots, and had a 100th-day cake.

“My favorite things we’re looking for 100 dots around the room, doing a puzzle, and licking a sucker 100 times,” said Emersyn Novotny.

In Mrs. Jones’ class the kindergartners built with 100 cups and legos, made pyramids out of red solo cups, made necklaces out of 100 fruit loops, and counted to 100.

“I liked the 100th day. It was fun,” said Damien Frye.
